A new 1200cc cruiser from SWM features Harley-Davidson styling and an all-new engine from its parent company Shineray.
Our first encounter with a new engine came in July, the 45-degree twin-cylinder V1202, which looks like Harley-Davidson's Evolution. Shineray had just introduced it in China.
A few months later, this engine appeared on a bike from Shineray-owned SWM in Milan. SWM's website already lists the Custom V1200, and we're eager to learn more about it.
While its technical characteristics look to be expected, its power is fortunately significantly greater than the 60 horsepower reported by Shineray in the Summer, delivering 80.5 horsepower through a five-speed transmission. In a two-cylinder 1200, there is no mention of torque, but it is obvious that even if you try to hide it, it will overflow.
A top speed of "over 200 km/h" and an average fuel consumption of 6 liters per 100 kilometers are announced for the bike, which has 16-inch wheels, weighs 250 kg dry, and has 16-inch wheels.
