As with its predecessor, the more "earthy" version of the 890 Adventure will follow the more combative one in 2023.
On the image front, the simple version of the model is aesthetically similar to the 890 Adventure R of 2023. On the side panels, it's obvious, but on the front it's less rally and more everyday.
Despite the similar body of the front lighting, there is a greater amount of plastic connecting it to the rest of the motorcycle, so it now offers new ergonomics, a new riding position, and also new wind protection.
Being a motorcycle that can handle all conditions and distances, the KTM 890 Adventure is powered by an LC8 engine, which produces 105 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. With its low center of gravity from the 20 liter fuel tank, the KTM 890 Adventure continues to emphasize its lines and ergonomics.
WP's APEX suspension comes with an adjustable rebound and compression at 43mm. New settings have been made for ergonomics and adventurous riding requirements. The ABS unit, 9.3MP, also uses data from the 6-axis sensor to provide the best braking power.
Off-road or rally driving modes automatically activate the improved ABS' off-road mode, which provides maximum braking control by disabling ABS on the rear wheel and reducing it on the front wheel.
KTM 890 Adventure comes with three riding modes. Road, off-road, and wet. A rally mode is also available, but it is optional. A Demo Mode is available for the electronic aids, which allows riders to test the complete package for 1500 km before deciding what to buy.
A 5" TFT display displays all of the above, attracting attention not only for its new material (coated to prevent scratches and reflections) but for its redesigned software system with menus and graphs that make KTM 890 Adventure a more user-friendly bike.
In addition to the backlight responding to ambient light, the KTMconnect app and the TFT screen are now better synchronized, so the rider can follow the Turn-by-Turn+, listen to music or make phone calls even more easily. For 2023, riders can set a 'Top 10' based on recent calls.
Towards the end and back into the picture, we see sportier graphics and a more dynamic look, complemented by Pirelli Scorpion STR tires with off-road accents. Adding extra protection, luggage racks, GPS brackets, heated grips, different seats and headlights is easy on the KTM 890 Adventure with KTM PowerParts.
