New 1290 Super Duke GT tested. Ready to test
The 1290 Super Duke R received a facelift in October 2022 and was first tested in November 2022 as an unfinished prototype.
With the facelift, the new 1290 Super Duke GT is based on the same Super Duke R. The new face features two stacked LED projector bulbs; the only difference is the GT's gray headlight bezels. Designers will want to separate the models to see each other clearly.
KTM wants to include a height-adjustable electric windshield in the GT model of the 1290 Super Duke GT. On the side is the fairing. Both the R and GT come with a large color TFT screen and various driver assistance features.
A rear rack allows the GT to carry cargo or install a luggage box at the back. Mounted to the bike's frame, made of aluminum. It's still the same frame.
The engine produces 180 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque with 1,301cc angled cylinders.
