The Harley-Davidson Street Bob Is A Carbon Fiber Masterpiece

Harley-Davidson Street Bob

Harley-Davidson is known for its brawny cruisers, but its stripped-down Street Bob is just as impressive. Due to its simple construction, it's popular with bike shops around the world. Rough Crafts is also a member of this fan club, which is why it chose a 2020 Street Bob for its latest sci-fi masterpiece.

The client is Cooler Master, a computer case and peripherals company that turns 30 in 2022. It's safe to say Rough Crafts delivered on the company's request for a showpiece. The Street Bob now wears custom bodywork from head to toe, with little stock left.

There is a 3D printed fairing up top with fins, a tinted windscreen, LED lighting, and two vertically stacked projector headlights. Inspired by Cooler Master's computer cases, the design is carved from forged carbon fiber.

On the custom fuel tank and tail section, you'll also find forged carbon fiber and aluminum fins. The actual fuel cell is a custom aluminum unit hidden under the sci-fi tank cover.

Despite the impressive bodywork, Rough Crafts has made a host of chassis upgrades to the Bob. The OEM gaited telescopic forks have been replaced by beefy Ohlins, coupled with a custom yoke, clip-on handlebar, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The rear gets an Ohlins monoshock with a custom swingarm and 16-inch alloy wheels. Beringer calipers clamped to performance rotors provide stopping power.

Lastly, the engine. Fat Bob's 1,868cc twin-cylinder mill remains mostly unchanged since this is a showpiece. The only exceptions are a hydraulic clutch, a custom full-system exhaust, and a finned air filter. Rough Crafts badges and subtle pinstripes tie everything together.

Cooler Master now owns the build, and it'll likely hang on its HQ mantelpiece. When you want a project done for you, you can reach out to Rough Crafts. Additionally, you can order a la carte plug-and-play parts from the shop's portfolio.
