Aston Martin has once again partnered with luxury boutique brand Brough Superior to create yet another outrageous trackday machine.
Following in the footsteps of the first-generation €98,000 AMB 001, which hit the public consciousness in autumn 2019 and has since sold out, the AMB 001 Pro made its debut at Eicma in Milan.
A turbocharged 997cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine sits as a stressed member in the chassis of the track-only 001. This unit is used in a CNC machined version as a stressed member in the 175kg (dry) Pro, resulting in an increase in power of 25% to 221.9bhp. Aston Martin's 1000bhp Cosworth-built 6.5-litre V12 Valkyrie AMR Pro hypercar is also said to have been inspired by its carbon fiber bodywork.
Brough Superior CEO Thierry Henriette said, "The success of its predecessor, coupled with the incredible Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, motivated us to come up with a new superbike."
We are especially proud of the new engine type, which has a crankcase made from solid billet aluminum, which is a unique feature among production motorcycles. As a result of the significant increase in power, the AMB 001 Pro is now classified as a hyperbike."
It also features a new cylinder design with wet cylinder liners for greater cooling, which should improve longevity over extended use. The uprated motor is made of AL 5000 solid billet aluminium alloy.
There will be only 88 Pro motorcycles built at the Brough factory in Toulouse, France, and they won't be homologated for the road. In the final quarter of 2023, the first deliveries are expected. It was a prototype bike that was displayed at Eicma.

"With Brough Superior, we've achieved this fluidity again for those who want a track superbike unlike any other. Laying atop the AMB 001 Pro, the rider will literally feel as though he or she is part of the track."
Engine performance isn't everything. Its side profile reveals more extreme bodywork, including a pronounced tail, winglets, and rear carbon disc wheels. However, there's very little wind protection up front, which could be uncomfortable at speed and detract from the ride.
A single pipe protrudes over the fat 200-section rear tyre and sharklike aero wing on the right side of the bike, replacing the underslung exhaust exit from the standard 001.
Blacked-out motors and suspension add to the striking jade green livery of the 001 Pro, a nod to Aston Martin's racing success.
Preload and rebound are adjustable on the front double wishbone set-up, while rebound and preload are adjustable on the mono shock.
