Buell's Baja 1190 Dune Racer debuted at Daytona Bike Week last March, and after many tests and refinements, it's getting closer to production in 2023.
According to Buell, the 1190 is the monster of dirt bikes. Logan Cipala won the 2020 AMA National Championship with the 1190 HCR hill climb racer. With 185 horsepower and 138Nm of torque, the bike is liquid-cooled, powered by a 72-degree V-twin engine.
In addition, Buell has revealed that the bike weighs 172 kilograms and that its technical characteristics put it in the same category as the KTM 1290 Adventure R, as well as outperforming it.
Buell is ready to start a new chapter under new ownership with the 1190 DR, which represents the next generation in off-road technologies and is a descendant of the Ulysses.
As CEO of Buell, Bill Melvin has stated: "The Ulysses shows that Buell wants to be different and stand out from the crowd. Now we're raising the bar, the Baja is the fastest and most versatile 1200cc dirt bike ever created."
Designed for more experienced riders looking for power and performance, Buell's 1190 Baja DR starts at $19,995 and is built in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
