This year's EICMA will mark the debut of a Chinese start-up in the streetfighter category.
Davinci Motor presented the DC100, an electric motorcycle designed to rival the performance of conventional 1000cc motorcycles. Davinci Motor has been working on the development of this new technology and product design for more than 7 years.
Davinci's DC100 is powered by a modern AC motor mounted directly on the rear wheel that delivers 850Nm of torque and 135 horsepower. By accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3 seconds, the DC100 can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. With the fast charging stations, recharging can be completed in 30 minutes. The range exceeds 400 km.
Since the DC100 has over 1000 chips and over 200 sensors, it is called by the Davinci people a "two-wheeled robot" that processes the interaction of the motorcycle with its environment in real time. Driving programs include Relax, Sport and Race, as well as Ride Assist, Hill-Start Assist, Hill Descend Control, Reverse Assist and Traction Control. In the peripherals, it doesn't even exist.. Brembo's Stylema M4 brakes, for example, are cheap.
Cloud updates or the fact that a rider's smartphone takes the place of the multi-instrument are just some of the interesting features of the DC100. It is worth noting, however, that Davinci's future plans include an open source motorcycle, the ability to balance on its own, the capability to be controlled remotely, as well as following the rider as he moves.
