KTM is preparing to completely renew its little adventure according to photos published in the Austrian press.
It was leaked from India that two camouflaged adventure bikes were being tested shortly before it left in 2021. Indians have talked about a new version of the KTM 390 Adventure Rally, but the new development shows that it is quite different.
We see the single-cylinder adventure again in this article by the Austrian magazine Motorrad, but with a much more sophisticated form and, most importantly, with other wheels.
Even more interesting is the information mentioned by the Austrian colleagues.
A radically revised 390 Adventure is being planned by KTM, according to the publication. The most obvious change is the design: more "adventure" with a completely new look.
From what I can see, we probably have a completely new frame and suspension, and spoked wheels with a 21-inch front. Instead of the radial caliper, there's a conventional BYBRE mount, and the whole set is actually mounted on the right side of the wheel, instead of the left as on the current 390 Adventure.
There's information about a new, updated generation of the single-cylinder that will stay at the same capacity with a slight performance bump.
A related motorcycle was seen next to the 390 Adventure, but without the front fairing, there's a small enduro mask in its place, and also on the saddle. The 390 Enduro is a new little brother, they say.
According to the Austrians, there will be similar bikes in GASGAS colors as well - for both prototypes shown here - and a third version, 390 Supermoto, is in the works.
Another question is when. It's possible they'll come sooner, but we should probably count them as 2024 models, so they'll be released sometime next year.
