During early 2023, 50 numbered Cake electric off-roads will be on their way to their new owners. The all-new Bukk enduro bike was unveiled by Swedish electric bike manufacturer CAKE at EICMA on November 8, 2022.
For the usual reasons a company goes to races, including their importance to the development of their bikes, the OEM started the CAKE World Race one-make motocross series a few years ago. The first result of this involvement with racing is Bukk.
CAKE is offering its newest platform in a limited edition of just 50 units to kick things off. Furthermore, CAKE announced that preorders for its most powerful off-road machine are already open from EICMA, so customers can order it right away.
CAKE announced that all 50 limited edition Bukks have already sold out as of November 17, 2022. Delivery of these bikes is expected to begin in March 2023, at the end of the first quarter. As for the Bukk platform and CAKE's future plans, more information will be revealed in the first quarter.
This launch reminds me a lot of the launch of the Kalk Limited Edition 4 years ago, with an amazing welcome and excitement from the market. Despite great response from all over the world, the limited edition Bukk sold out in less than a week. CAKE's founder and CEO Stefan Ytterborn expressed excitement about the next phases of the Bukk platform.
Can we expect CAKE Bukk to participate in the World CAKE Game in 2023? So far, no details have been revealed about this, and it is unclear. In any case, it will be interesting to see what early adopters of the new platform think of it once Bukks launches early next year, and if they participate in future CAKE MX events.
We can probably expect several Bukk variants aimed at slightly different off-road scenarios in the near future, if the release follows the same trajectory as the Kalk release.
The price is €14,970.
