The MBP T1002V 2023 is introduced to us at EICMA 2022

Keeway's new brand made its European debut in Milan with four interesting models, starting with the V2 adventure T1002V.

A new company made its debut at this year's EICMA with a very Italian name, following the Chinese wave that marked this year's EICMA. It is based in Bologna and appears to be a part of the Keeway Motor Group – which is owned by QJ Motor, which is a subsidiary of the giant Geely group.

In Milan, the new company presented a fairly full range of motorcycle models, dominated by 125s, ranging from on-offs to streetfighters and classic roadsters, scooters, as well as some very interesting new large displacement models.

The adventure T1002V was the centerpiece of MBP's presentation, which has a maximum output of 93.9 hp at 7,600 rpm and 10.4 kgm at 6,500 rpm thanks to its 80-degree V2 engine.

It features an inverted KYB fork with 160 mm of travel, as well as a KYB rear shock absorber with 77.4 mm of travel, not wheel travel, but suspension travel. There is only one adjustment for spring preload on both suspensions, both front and rear.

As an empty 21-liter fuel tank, the car weighs 235kg, rolling on 19- and 17-inch wheels (120-70, 170-60), with four-piston radials on 320mm wavy discs, and Bosch dual-channel ABS.

The instrument screen is a 7-inch color TFT with standard connectivity through the MBP app, which even comes with some useful solutions: navigation (GPS), motorcycle tracking, storage and sharing of route data, a panic button that will inform you automatically if an accident occurs, as well as some anti-theft features like motion and vibration sensors and remote locking/disabling of motorcycles.

Among all the new bikes shown by MBR in Milan, the T1002V was designed in Europe by Keeway's similar Design and R&D department in Bologna, the second on European soil after Barcelona.

This motorcycle is expected to be available in the EU market in the first half of 2023, but the inspiration from the Ducati Multistrada is more than obvious, especially in the red color. As for Greece, we still don't know anything about possible MBR representation.

Lastly, MBR has a 650 cc V2 engine in its range, which is currently used in only a cruiser model, but could power a medium adventure model in the future. C1002V cruisers of the same company also use the same large 997 cc engine without any changes.
