Stormguard E+ is designed to be ridden anywhere, thanks to its beefed-up battery and Yamaha mid-drive motor. Few brands have a stronger reputation than Giant when it comes to bikes-both electric and non-electric classics.
With economies of scale and outstanding quality, Giant has been able to continuously grow and innovate in the industry for several decades. Giant has been releasing a lot of new e-bikes lately, but none of them are quite as good as the Stormguard E+.
Stormguard E+ appears expensive and imposing at first glance. Giant's first full-suspension electric bike focuses on utility. The styling is clearly influenced by Giant's proven geometry.
It has huge rear racks that appear to be capable of carrying anything. A maximum of 20 kilograms can be transported by the company. It ranges from stylish side bags to another bike if you know how to tie it. Besides the large fenders on the wheels, this is also a bike - a companion in everyday life, not merely a marketing tool.
The Stormguard E+ has a Yamaha mid-drive motor with a belt drive system for quiet operation and can run for 10,000km without requiring maintenance. Powered by a large EnergyPak Smart 800Wh battery, it features an internally geared Enviolo hub for added performance.
Giant is using the largest type of battery cells for the first time. According to theory, this battery should provide longer range, but more importantly, durability through more cycles of charging.
The RideDash Evo has a color bar display built in. You can access functions such as navigation and ride statistics by connecting your smartphone to the bike. The E+1 version will be offered at a premium price and the E+2 version will be more affordable.
Stomguard E+ is expected on the European market in 2023 and will cost 7,999 euros for E+1 and 6,499 euros for E+2.
