Dainese has answered our questions. AGV brand is distributed by Parts Unlimited in the U.S. and Thibault in Canada.
Furthermore, "a select pool of 'legacy' dealers with Dainese and TCX will still be able to order through Dainese Group (including D Stores) if they so choose."]
Original piece follows.
The Dainese Group announced a new distribution agreement with Tucker Powersports on December 7, 2022. Dainese motorcycle products and TCX motorcycle footwear are included in the deal.
As of December 7, the new agreement will reportedly last "several years," but no specific number was provided. Previously, Dainese handled its own distribution in this region, but Tucker Powersports will now handle that part of the business.
Dainese acquired moto footwear specialist TCX in 2020, and helmet maker AGV in 2007. Carlyle Group acquired the Dainese Group in March 2022, which includes Dainese, TCX, and AGV.
Dainese's announcement regarding the Tucker Powersports distribution deal does not mention AGV in any way, so RideApart has reached out for clarification and will report back.
This agreement with Tucker Powersports marks a new milestone in our North American expansion and consolidation. Our US market has always been crucial for our Group and choosing a distributor with such a widespread, structured sales network will enable us to achieve increasingly ambitious goals," Cristiano Silei, CEO of Dainese Group, said.
With our dealer network, Dainese products will be easily accessible to riders looking for high-quality riding and protective gear," said Tucker Powersports president and CEO Marc McAllister.
This partnership brings Tucker an outstanding range of products. With Dainese's reputation for quality and eye for style, we are excited to add their motorcycle product line to our portfolio," said Jamie Kempinski, Tucker's director of business development.
A number of motorcycle parts, accessories, and gear brands are distributed by Tucker Powersports to retailers across the U.S. Tucker-owned brands include Answer, BikeMaster, First Gear, Speed and Strength, and others.
As of December 8, 2022, Dainese has 10 flagship stores across the country. What effect (if any) this deal may have on those locations is unclear. As soon as we receive more information, RideApart will update this piece.
