Every year, the motorcycle market pie gets smaller and smaller. New motorcycle companies are popping up all over the world, either as start-ups or as revivals of old ones.
KL has now entered the 125cc game with the Duel, a bare-bones sport bike. Currently, the company offers the large Brera and Brera X scooters and a 125 cc on-off scooter as part of its small range.
As opposed to current trends among smaller, less established manufacturers building 125-class bikes, the Duel is not electric and uses a traditional single-cylinder four-stroke engine.
The four-valve head has two camshafts and produces 12.7 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Powered by an electronic fuel injection system, the engine consumes 12 liters of fuel per minute.
As well as its 17-inch front and rear wheels (with 110/70 tires), the KL Duel measures 2,000mm long, 775mm wide, and 995mm tall, with a 1,380mm wheelbase and 770mm seat height, and weighs 142kg.
Duel will be available in black, gray, and green colors. A grey, black, and red option is also available. Motociclismo magazine reports an expected Italian price of €3,440, but it is currently unconfirmed.
