The new Harley-Davidson small bike comes from Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp

Hero's Indian executive has given a timeline for the partnership with Harley-Davidson.

Harley-Davidson has changed its strategy abruptly in recent years, and it launched its own small motorcycle families with the Street 750 and 500 families, only to discontinue them a few years later, but the small-displacement Harley case seems to now have won.

A small-displacement cruiser motorcycle that has long been given an (unofficial) name: the 338R, is apparently being developed by Harley-Davidson and QJ Motor in China. SRV300 is the latest in gossip, rumors and conjectures linking her to QJ Motor and Benelli motors or motorcycles. We also saw a 500 cc motorcycle, dynamized in China, with the tail writing HD500, in the style of a classic roadster.

Hero Harley launches in India

Since 2020 Harley-Davidson has also announced a partnership with Hero MotoCorp in India, which is also developing for Americans.

As we were getting lost in translation, Hero CFO Niranjan Gupta added fuel to the fire:

"You will see new models in the premium displacement and cost categories, as well as the Harley-Davidson platform we are developing."

In this collaboration, we hardly have more than a time frame, while we still don't know what exactly we will see: a classic roadster (up to the 500 in the photo), a cruiser, or both? Harley-Davidson is playing both Hero and QJ partnerships, so right now the only difference is what each side is saying. The Chinese say nothing, while the Indian speaks.
