Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes are all proof of German engineering's unmatched prowess. There's much more to learn about Germans than these examples, especially when it comes to customizing Harley-Davidsons.
Germans love customizing hogs, and Thunderbike has some stunning examples in its portfolio to prove it. The company's latest creation - a custom Harley-Davidson Softail - is nothing short of an artistic masterpiece.
As a Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic, the El Impulso was reimagined as a modern motorcycle. Rather than using the stock 16-inch wheels, the team has swapped them for custom 23/18-inch alloys. Aluminum units with a gloss black finish and whitewall tires complement the old-school look.
A wider triple tree has been installed above the stock headlight, followed by an upswept swingarm, since these are substantially different from the stock ones. Scrumptious front and rear fenders hug (literally) the wheels and look classic.
Additionally, the stance is unmatched thanks to the air ride suspension at the rear and lowered forks at the front. You can increase the ride height with a flick of a button whenever needed with the air ride.
Additionally, the ergonomics differ significantly from the stock Heritage Classic. Despite the stock fuel tank, the handlebars and footrests are much wider than OEM units, and the saddle is custom made. Custom grips and rearview mirrors are also featured on the handlebar. With a custom livery, Kruse Design wraps the El Impulso for the final act.
A sparkling silver finish is complemented by gold pinstripes and airbrushed accents. It complements the motorcycle's otherwise all-black appearance, which includes the engine as well. Also, the Milwaukee Eight 114 heart is more or less the same, except for a custom exhaust system with extra-long pipes.
It appears that this custom motorcycle was built for a client on a commission basis. Thunderbike specializes in doing this sort of thing, so we're pretty sure it'll be happy to help.
