A new Benelli adventure bike has been unveiled, competing in the middleweight category against bikes like the Yamaha Tenere 700 and Aprilia Tuareg 660. TRK 800, recently unveiled in all its glory, ranks above TRK 702 series and features more advanced gear than smaller displacement TRK models. Despite not knowing the exact launch date, the bike is expected to launch in 2023.
In terms of style, the TRK 800 follows the TRK 502 line. There are many adventure-tourer-focused amenities on this bike, including a semi-fairing design with high fenders, a twin-pod LED headlight with a T-shaped LED DRL, an adjustable windshield, hand guards, radiator cowls, a split-style saddle, an upswept exhaust system, a sump guard, and wire-spoke wheels that can accept tubeless tires.
Adding to the bike's design are bright accents on the fuel tank, the rear panel, the hand guards, and the grip rails for the pillion.
The TRK 800 is powered by a 754cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that is Euro5 certified and is also found in Benelli's Leoncino 800 series. Powered by a six-speed gearbox, this engine generates 76.2 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 47 ft-lbs of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. Standard features include full-LED lighting and a seven-inch color TFT display.
As opposed to the TRK 702 series, this motorbike does not have an integrated camera for taking pictures or videos while riding. In terms of rider aids, the middleweight adventure bike only features dual-channel ABS and a slipper clutch.
This Benelli adventure tourer is suspended by an upside-down 50mm fork and a monoshock from Marzocchi. The front forks are adjustable for rebound, compression, and spring preload, while the monoshock is adjustable for spring preload and hydraulic rebound damping.
The brakes use Brembo hardware and have 260-millimeter rotors at the back and dual 320-millimeter discs at the front. Wheel diameters are 19 inches and 17 inches, respectively, and tires are 110/80 sections and 150/70 sections.
